Time is running out for a fair trial in the Senate.

There’s a ticking clock, counting down the hours until the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sweeps the president’s crimes under the rug. Or, at least, until he tries.

Make no mistake, once the opening arguments have been heard, McConnell will do his best to block any witnesses or documents which could give the American people answers about the president’s abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. That’s his priority, protecting the president and his own political power. But not everyone is on board.

Stand up for a fair trial by emailing your Senators to demand they call relevant witnesses to testify.

Just a handful of GOP Senators can unite together to force the Majority Leader’s hand. They can stand together to demand a fair and full trial, and call the witnesses necessary to get to the truth.

Already, Stand Up Republic has been putting the pressure on key Republican voices. Senators Collins, Murkowski, Romney, Gardner and Tillis have been inundated with calls from SUR supporters in their states. But every Senator should hear from you. Every Senator should know that their constituents care about justice and truth, and demand a fair trial with witnesses and evidence.

Simply click on this link, fill out the form on the website, and send your message to your Senators.

We can’t play games with justice and truth. Impeachment is one of the most serious processes written into the Constitution. Every Senator should be in favor of a fair trial. But too many of them are willing to put their own political fortunes above the needs of the country or the Constitution. That’s why they have to hear from us.

This is no time to sit on the sidelines. Together we can make a difference. Stand up for the rule of law by emailing your Senator today.

This is not a holiday for only some Americans, it is an American holiday. It is not just the day that the last American slaves finally got their inherent right to freedom, it is the day that America finally liberated itself of an inhuman and intolerable institution, that by its very existence rebutted our claims to be a free nation of, by and for the people.
